Early Childhood Program

“The greatest gifts we can give our children are the roots of responsibility and the wings of independence.”

Our Early Childhood program consists of ages 3 through Kindergarten.

In Early Childhood, Wellington students are introduced to the Montessori Method. This is the age of the absorbent mind and Maria Montessori understood that children need a hands-on learning environment to grow and develop. Our Montessori Early Childhood classroom is full of enriched learning opportunities for children to build their cognitive, emotional, physical, and creative skills.

In our multi-age classrooms, students can lead, follow, and learn from one another while deepening their understanding and care of their work and their peers. With the freedom to move at their own pace, their mastery of soft and hard skills grows naturally. The constant collaboration and encouragement develops children who can cooperate with one another and solve problems together.

Children are constantly learning from themselves and their environment. At Wellington, we model care of ourselves and care of our environment to each student. We believe that this behavior is foundational to the development of strong, self-motivated, independent, and kind individuals. As students grow, they begin laying in purposeful habits to cement a strong foundation for learning and development.
