Middle School Program

"As we observe children, we see the vitality of their spirit, the maximum effort put forth in all they do, the intuition, attention and focus they bring to all life’s events, and the sheer joy they experience in living."

Our Middle School program comprises grades 6 through 8.

In Middle School, students continue to build on practical life skills and their social-emotional development. A rich curriculum of rigorous academic content helps prepare students for High School and beyond. The middle school program continues to focus on individual growth and is attuned to the needs and learning styles of the student.

In our multi-age classrooms, students can lead, follow, and learn from one another while deepening their understanding and care of their work and their peers. With the freedom to move at their own pace, their mastery of soft and hard skills grows naturally. The constant collaboration and encouragement develops children who can cooperate with one another and solve problems together.

Our job as individuals is to learn and teach throughout our lives. To develop each child to their highest natural potential, we believe in growing each child’s leadership and mentorship skills. Our middle school students are responsible for leading and caring for all students from Early Childhood to their peers in Middle School. Confidence, gratitude, compassion, and a desire to help are all characteristics that embody the vision for Wellington graduates.
